We are fully compliant with Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) guidelines. These specifications improve interactive advertising across the industry, allowing advertisers to develop consistent content acceptable by leading publishers and lending efficiency to the ad creation and media buying process.
Standard file types we accept include the following:
- jpg, png, gif, animated gif
- Flash
- Standard IAB banner sizes (160×600; 300×250; 728×90) as well as various custom units
- Rich Media (including expandables) from approved vendors such as Atlas, Dart Motif, Eyeblaster, EyeWonder, PointRoll, EyeReturn and Linkstorm
- Textlinks
Requirements for Flash Creative include:
- Max file size: 100k
- All Flash creative hosted by Disney Ad Network (DAN) must be accompanied with backup creative (gif, jpg, etc.) plus a tracking URL
- Max file size for backup gif: 30k
- The clickTAG feature needs to be enabled within the Flash code. Serving it WITHOUT the clickTAG feature will result in no click tracking data.
- Maximum 3 loops with 15 second max animation
- All sound must be user-initiated
- File must be clicktag compatible per the Adobe / Macromedia Flash standard
- Requires up to 5 business days to review and ensure that the ad is displayed properly and clicks are counted accurately through our ad server
- Click-through URL must open in a new window
Expandables:
- All expandable units must be built and served by a DAN approved Rich Media vendor, such as Atlas, Dart Motif, Eyeblaster, EyeWonder, PointRoll, EyeReturn and Linkstorm, unless a prior agreement has been reached
- 100k total maximum weight on the page at any given time
- The action that causes the panel to expand must also cause the panel to retract
- Click-through URL must open in a new window
Textlinks:
- Maximum character limit of 70
- Header can be a maximum of 25 characters (of total 70)
- Must include display URL of 35 characters or less
HTML Requirements:
- Max file size for the HTML file is 100K
- File format can either be HTML or TXT
- For ad code from another ad server, file must be third party click tracking enabled
- Requires up to 5 business days to review and ensure that the ad is displayed properly and clicks are counted accurately through our ad server
- Audio must be user-initiated
- IFRAME/JavaScript tags are accepted for third-party serving
- Three loop max restriction
- Click-through URL must open in a new window
